"SIRI" Incident
2 Weeks ago, discussion about a Golder Retriever named "Siri" became viral on the internet within China. It kept dominating the top of discussion are and even celebrities uttered their voices soon after that. The people were angry to this incident and demand for a clear explanations on what was happening on that poor dog.

Recently, Ms. Chen, the owner of Siri (Nickname of "亚瑞蒂奥" on China social media platform named WeiBo), posted on Weibo that she entrusted a pet consignment service provider to transport Siri from Nanjing to Guiyang. The service provider charged 2,600 CNY and promised to arrange an air transportation for her dog.
However, when Ms. Chen received her dog on the evening of the 7th, Siri was dead and stinking. After few round of repeated questioning by Ms. Chen, the service provider admitted that the transportation method was changed from air transport to land transport without any authorization or prior consent to the dog owner. Soon after that, the veterinarian identified that Siri had died of heart failure due to heatstroke.
Ms. Chen said that she discovered later that the dog was pulled into a transportation bus and started land transportation as soon as it arrived in Nanjing. In the middle of the journey, she asked several times whether the dog was safe, and the staff "lied to her for two days".
Ms. Chen fainted for a while after watching her dog was gone when she received it. She said that she had been with the dog for nearly two years and had a deep relationship. Because the dog was overweight, she chose a pet consignment agency to transport it by air. And she didn't expect Siri to be gone in the sultry bottom trunk of the bus.
After the accident, the WeChat staff named "Helping International Pet Consignment~Xiao Chen" that met with Ms. Chen apologized to Ms. Chen and provided a solution: buy a Golden Retriever for her or compensate merely 6,000 CNY. Ms. Chen said that she could not accept this plan and the public was furious on service provider's attitude and its compensation.

On July 16, Guangzhou Bangbang International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. involved in the incident responded in an interview with the media: the company had no knowledge of the order, and the incident was taken by the partner’s employee. The employee involved had left the company one month ago. .
No matter what kind of compensation, the loss of a life is irreversible. At present, Ms. Chen has chosen to find legal means to sue the service provider under consideration of many parties. The public hopes the culprit can give "Siri" an explanation and completely change the rotten part in the pet transportation industry chain.
