Google AdSense Approval on General News Website?
"Hi, Jaxx. My website was rejected by Google AdSense due to Low Value Content. I have written 20 + posts and I can sure they are unique and original. "
I received few messages or comments like this and they keep asking me why Google AdSense rejected their websites with low value content. You can find many similar statements on Google AdSense community when someone is asking for solution to fix low value content problem or getting Google AdSense Approval.
By viewing these websites with low value content problem, I found that most of them scraped content from other website. In addition, most of these websites' copied content can be categorized as news content.
I will share one study case today, it's a website with scraped news content from other website, and I'm also going to explain why such website will never get Google AdSense Approval. Let's dive in right now.
Google AdSense Case Study 5 - Copied Content
You can find the website URL inside this Google AdSense Community thread. Just like what I have been stated in every case study, I won't share the website link here and you can get the latest update (if any) on Google AdSense community.
It's good to create hyperlink on the website URL in the question post, so that everyone can review the website easily by directly clicking the link. Even though this person said that Google AdSense is reviewing his website, I think that Google AdSense will always reject this website.
Let's take a look on this website and I will tell you the reason.
I can see what's wrong with this website at first glance. They all are really Low Value Content as what I have mentioned in my YouTube video, you can watch chapter 9 to watch the full explanations about low value content. Let's start with the 3rd blog post first.
"How to earn money", "Online Earnings" or "Making money" is not a niche you can write for Google AdSense approval, seriously. Google AdSense will never approve a website's monetization request that display such content because this type of content has no or little value from AdSense perspective.
The 2nd post is related to Good & Services Tax (GST), but it is really a good content? The answer is no, look how short this content is on this website. The author just briefly mention the definition of GST and the implementation history of GST. There are less than 800 words in this blogpost, which is lower than the minimum number of words I have set for Google AdSense approval in many of my YouTube videos & tutorials.
Finally, the first and latest blog post of this website is related to recent spike on petrol price in some country. The title is already looking suspicious as it's seems like a title that news company would use on their website.
Google AdSense is smart in detecting any plagiarism activity or copied content on a website. So don't try to fool with Google AdSense if you really want to get Google AdSense Approval, or else what you will get are multiple rejections.
There is a simple way to look for plagiarism on any website, that is, search for the title or a part of the content on Google chrome. What I have done is copy the title "Opposition terms petrol price hike ‘robbery on pockets of public" and search it on Google chrome.
In the search results page, you can see internationalpk.com is ranking at first with this title. But where is this website? It is not ranking on Google search results at all. So it's the first clue that this website copied content from other website.
Next, you can compare the content of both website.
Just compare the first few words and you can see the website in this study case directly copied the whole content from internationalpk.com. This is the evidence of plagiarism and Google AdSense will never approve a website that steal content from other website.
The latest 3 posts has so many problems already, so the rest of them should have many issues as well. I'm lazy to make more comparison of other blog posts, so let's enter into the conclusion.
Can I get Google AdSense Approval on General News Website?
The answer is clearly a NO, unless the news you are writing fulfill the following requirements. It is OK to write anything (excluding the prohibited content as stated in AdSense Programme Policies) but you have to make sure your content is a high quality enough with 800 words per post. Besides, your content has to be original, unique, informative and well-organized.
To get Google AdSense Approval for your website, then you should write something based on your real experience or something you know well. You can refer to my content that was approved by Google AdSense previously based on my real life experience. By writing such content, you can ensure it's totally unique and original because very few people will have gone through the same experience as you.
